Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. The university is renowned for launching the modern science of child eyewitness memories and using child victims to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with many papers and grants and is the recipient of numerous national and global awards. She consults with numerous governments and agencies across the world regarding policies and the research of child abuse in the justice system. She is a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
